About the event

The 60th Autumn Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Cultural Heritage Conservation Science was held on Friday, November 8th at the International Convention Center of Chonbuk National University. At this conference, the ARTWANA team presented its latest research results in the digital cultural heritage session.


Dr. Woo sik Yoo presented “Discovery of common differences between Movable Metal type and engraved woodblock prints through Comparative Image Analysis”(Link)

CEO Ukyung Kim presented “A Study on the Color Preservation Process of Outdoor Sculptures through Comparative Image Analysis”(Link)




At this conference, it was confirmed that interest in the discovery of the world's oldest Metal-movable-type printed book, revealed through Dr. Woo-sik Yoo's latest research, had increased significantly, leading to many questions and answers. CEO Kim's announcement to expand the field of cultural heritage conservation to include modern art heritage and public art work heritage received a lot of response from cultural heritages

conservation science researchers.



Network with members of the Korean society of Conservation Science for Cultural Heritage who are active in various fields, including the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage.


In particular, we met Professor Marco Malagodi from the University of Pavia, Italy, who participated as a special presenter, and talked about various things. Since our interests are quite similar, We expect there will be many opportunities for exchange in the future.
